All the adults at the Hotel Luciani in Rome, ready to start the day's adventure. Below are all the students, keen to start the day's touring after a good nights sleep!
arrived at the Colosseum for an audio tour. The morning was VERY brisk!
We had lunch alfresco style in the sun at a lovely Italian trattoria eating pizza and pasta. The day was perfect and we explored many delightful lane ways with amazing Renaissance architecture and cobblestone streets. We also visited the Pantheon, and Santa Maria dells Concezione - home of the skeletons from thousands of Capuchin monks which were decoratively arranged in the crypt. We also saw Bernini's St Therese in Ecstacy at Santa Maria Della Vittoria, a beautifully adorned church with sculptures and paintings.
Tomorrow we visit the Vatican and the contemporary art gallery Maxxi.
