April in Italy is spring weather with temperatures averaging around 18 degrees maximum to 7 degrees minimum. While some days may reach the low 20's, it is best to pack suitable clothes for these temperatures working with layers - short sleeved tops for warmer weather, jumpers, cardigans and jackets for cooler days, and long pants. Singlet tops are not appropriate to wear into churches or the Vatican, so make sure you pack tops with sleeves. The winter season in the northern hemisphere has been especially cold so wintry days may linger while we are there.
Bring a light rain jacket and compact umbrella and covered flat leather/synthetic shoes for rainy weather.
Dubai Spring
In Dubai, the weather during April is much warmer and dry with average temperatures in the mid 30's. While the nights are cooled down with sea breezes, it is quite hot during the daytime. All indoor places have air conditioning. Pack short sleeved tops (covered shoulders), jeans, skirts or longer shorts - no mini skirts or short shorts or singlet tops in public in Dubai.
