Dubai at Dawn

With only one week until departure, here are some things we may see on the first part of our journey. Our Emirates flight lands in Dubai around dawn and on our approach to the airport we may be able to see some of the amazing island developments from the air, as well as the mega city skyscrapers and the prestigious and innovative hotels that dot the coastline.

Rome to Naples on the Fast Train

Our day trip to Pompeii starts with a fast train journey between Rome and Naples and then the Circumvesuviana to Pompeii. The trip to Naples will be a new experience for those who haven't travelled on fast trains before. Only a hour and ten minutes compared to over two hours on the intercity!

Renaissance Banquet Dinner in Florence

Our first evening in Florence will be spent at the amazing Palazzo Borghese enjoying a Renaissance Banquet dinner in the atmosphere of the 15th century. We will be served a four course meal and get a parchment as a memento on our departure.

MULTICULTURAL DAY:

Congratulations to all our students, staff and parents for a very successful cultural room and food stall on Multicultural Day. Our European Union cultural room highlighted Italy with informative talks and fun activities including a spaghetti eating competition, designing and building a leaning tower of Pisa using marshmallow and toothpicks, and venetian mask making. Our Italian food stall at lunchtime had the best spread covering all tastes from pasta and mini pizzas to delectable chocolate cake, cupcakes, biscotti and lollies. Everything sold! Thank you to the students for your amazing effort and participation; the hardworking art teachers - especially Mrs Gettens for planning and organising the room; the parents who gave a helping hand to prepare the food and to Lizi for her fantastic organisation and running of our food stall!
